Welcome to ABYL

Welcome to Acton-Boxborough Youth Lacrosse!

Formed in the 1990s, ABYL has over 20 years of developing young players into competitive lacrosse players.  Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in America and is a fun, skillful, athletic sport that will challenge boys at all ages.    ABYL begins in 1st grade and continues through 8th grade.   Players of all ages are welcome and it's never too late to start the great game of lacrosse.

Our 1st/2nd grade teams ("U9") compete in the Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League (MBYLL) and 3rd through 8th compete in the Town Pride League (TPL).   Both leagues provide execellent competition and player development.   For more league information, go to: and/or , respectively.

The ABYL season runs from late February to approximately the 2nd week of June.    From late February and through March, practices are indoors once a week on Sundays at Acton Teamworks.  Starting the end of March, practices are typically 2 times a week with games on Sundays.   Practices times/nights are dependent on field availability.

If you want to try it but not sure you are ready to commit for the spring season, we have two "Try Lacrosse for Free" clinics on March 1st and March 8th indoors at Teamworks.  ABYL will provide equipment.   You can sign up for either or both of those clinics here:

Thank you for your interest in ABYL and we hope your son gets involved in the great game of lacrosse!
